Thank you for this posting. It is a very helpfull information.
I'm really interested in purchasing a house in Los Gatos, santa cruz county. The house is beautiful and I was more than happy with the price. When I contacted my realtor, she told me the property has a red flag because of some improvements made without a valid permit. And she told me there is no way I can get a loan (fha loan) with a red flag.
She told me the only way to finance it is with a 20% downpayment.
I do not have that amount. Do you know if there is any bank that can lend this money?
I have a small business and I think I can apply for a small business loan and use that money for the downpayment. I don't know if that will work.
Thanks for your help.
